IMPRESSIONS

(7-10-17)

I saw the horses grazing in the fields,

and yellow  flowers in big bunches swing,

old eucalyptus swaying in the wind

and peaceful cows all scattered through the green.

The evening falls on my flat Chascomus,

my soul mate, the place where I have always been,

I take the air I have breathed within

the scent of country that my nostrils filled.

The isolated groups of lonely trees at dusk

and some bent greyish sheep in herds I see

A running calf gracefully reaches mom

and flocks of birds defy the laws of geometry.
